Four members of the science team enter a US Coast Guard
Helicopter from the North Slope Borough Safety and Rescue hangar located
in Barrow, Alaska. After take off, they fly across the shore of the northernmost
point in the United States and over the Arctic Ocean where they will be
transported to the USCG Cutter Healy. All crew, scientists and
equipment to go on board the Healy must be flown to the vessel
because near-shore waters are too shallow for the Healy to come
to port.
