Engineers with the Global Foundation for Ocean Exploration move a bag filled with rocks to the seafloor in order to test and practice the use of the manipulator arm on remotely operated vehicle (ROV) Deep Discoverer during the second dive of the 2023 Shakedown + EXPRESS West Coast Exploration expedition. The bag also served as a target for testing other tools on the ROV, such as the temperature probe.
