The king of Trinidad Slump? The focus of the fourth dive of the 2023 Shakedown + EXPRESS West Coast Exploration expedition was testing remotely operated vehicle systems by the Global Foundation for Ocean Exploration team. Part of the testing included flexing the zoom capabilities of vehicle cameras, giving us a close look at this king crab in the family Lithodidae at a depth of 2,413 meters (7,917 feet).
