During the seventh dive of the 2023 Shakedown + EXPRESS West Coast Exploration expedition, we observed what appeared to be an anemone eating a jellyfish! It is always exciting to see species interactions like this one, as in addition to being pretty cool, these observations provide scientists with additional understanding into the dynamics of life at the bottom of the ocean. This observation was made at a depth of 1,714 meters (5,623 feet).
