Ghost sharks! Meet the Hydrolagus purpurescens, commonly known as the purple chimaera. With its unique flat tooth plates, this eerie creature crushes hard-shelled prey like molluscs and sea urchins. It’s been spotted at 1,277 meters (4,190 feet) below the surface.
